Week 10

Another stressful week, I had a test on Monday and a speech on Monday which I did not do. I did do the test but I failed it and got a 44% I believe, but the professor decided to give us a 5% bonus added to our grade because I wasn't the only one who did bad. The class average was 61% I think and everyone said they feel like the tests are just getting hard. This class is sociology and we only have 3 more tests so I really have to study for these upcoming tests. I was supposed to do my speech on Monday but I had not finished my outline. So I finished my outline on Tuesday and was ready for Wednesday to present but I just didn't present for some reason and it was the final day for presentations but out of nowhere the prof had to the class at the end of class that we would have Monday on the next week to present. I was ready to take that zero but I was surprised he gave us another chance. I don't know why I didn't present, maybe it was because I was intentionally wanting

Week 9

This week I had to give my speech that was due Wednesday. Not many people came because it was speech day and I had not done my outline for the speech either. But this week went by quickly in my opinion and it was also a calm week. As I have been doing these blogs I have realized that my life is pretty boring, most likely because I just have school and don't really do much other than school. I'm just focused on school right now and I feel like I can't really do much because I'm fed up with assignments and tests. I do have some flexible time but I feel its just school everyday and not enough time for me to do what I want. I wonder how it would be if I had a job but I don't and I'm fortunate enough to have a hard working family. My family is lazy sometimes but we are all hard working. I feel as if I don't have enough happening in my life right now to be able to have enough information for some of these blogs but I try.

Week 8

Week 8      I can't believe we are already in week 8. It has felt like I have been here forever now and I had a lot of assignments to do this week. The week was very chill but I was more worried with the fact that I had to turn in a couple more assignments than usual. Most of them were for my business and science class but the important one was my speech midterm tests. They were in 2 parts but I felt confident enough in not studying as much because that class was easy and the teacher was good at helping us memorize most of the questions with a review we had done in class.      I really don't have much to talk about in this blog because most of it was school related but I also had time this week to go to the game room and play pool as usual.      Last week I went to go play pool in downtown Chicago with my friend. The first place we went to told us that we had to be 21 to play pool and I was really confused and mad because you don't need to be 21 to be able to play a damn g

Week 7 Guided reflection

So the documentary I picked was "Finding Vivian Maier," and for a documentary I'd say I really liked it. I haven't really watched that many documentaries because I find them boring but this one was good and the directors really set it up well.      There was a scene in the documentary that showed Vivian recording these 2 kids that she was taking care of because she was a nanny and the scene showed each kid swinging on this rope that was tied to a tree just swinging around and having the time of their life. Then the scene continued to show the 3 kids just outside the forest in a small field eating strawberries from a strawberry bush and just laughing and having fun.            This scene gave me a sense of what life should be like, in the way that you should aspire to be like the kids in the scene. The fact that they are not at all worried about anything and just having fun goofing around with the other children is how I think we should be living. The scene made me

Week 6

This week I got my first new pool cue which is the exact one in the image above and I went to the library building's game room to try it out. This was Monday so I had a few hours before my next class to play with it. The first few shots I hit felt so good, the cue was so solid and felt so sturdy. When it got delivered to me at my front door I was so excited to use it and already wanted to go the nearest pool table. I really like how it looks and the way the grip feels. I also got the case with the cue and a glove with some chalk. I've never used a glove before but when I did I felt like a professional pool player and I understand now why people use a glove. Everything just feels so much smoother with it. For the first few hours of playing I don't really need the glove because the wood is smooth and with least resistance but as I play more with it that's when I use the glove. Anyways, I'm glad I bought it and can use it at the pool tables because all the other cues
